Two people, one specialism, no call centre

Dustin has been intrigued by the refrigeration and air conditioning industry since the age of twelve, when a family friend began including him on smaller projects. He joined the industry officially at nineteen and, in 2000, became the second youngest technician in Manitoba at that time to be awarded Interprovincial Journeyperson status in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

He spent fourteen years at Frontier Refrigeration, where he quickly excelled at special projects and learned ultra-low work directly from Manitoba’s ultra-low certified technician, now retired. In 2007 he became the Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario third-party representative for Thermo Fisher Scientific, one of the world’s largest manufacturers.

He is certified across Thermo Fisher and PHCbi product lines including incubators, is listed with NuAire for their refrigerated products, and has extensive experience and training through controlled-environment growth chambers.

Colleen comes from a farming community and joined the HVAC/R industry in 2003 as a dispatcher for one of the largest service companies in the region. In 2011 she moved to the sales team at a corporate distributor, and by 2016 was acting branch manager.

She built a reputation at the service company for excelling in an industry where, at the time, few women did — and for a particular quality her clients still describe the same way.

She works rigorously at getting clients’ questions and situations resolved quickly, treating each one as a priority. Even where a situation is difficult, she keeps clients updated throughout — open and transparent for the whole process.
